Perception of Teacher Trainees on ‘Quality Training’
in District Institute of Education and Training

Quality is the vital factor in the educational system.
Many District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) have been established under
the scheme of Programme of Action (PoA) in 1986. Revised Policy Formulation and
Education (1992) has clearly made all effects to improve the quality for primary
school teachers. We need a quality teacher, not an information dispenser. Trainees
are going to meet the challenging task in the future perception on quality education.
A study was conducted in DIET of Tamilnadu. Analyses were made by percentage of
perception of teacher trainees on quality training indicated through physical infrastructure,
learning materials, course content, transactional method, educators, administration,
internship, co-curricular activities, problems and issues and benefits from the
institute.
In infrastructure facility, 86% trainees expressed that satisfactory level. In learning
materials like TV, Computer and other modern gadgets, 63% trainees perceived well.
Near 82% of trainees expressed the Course content made very clear. The place of
the teacher in the teaching learning-process cannot be under estimated. Many of
them accepted that assignments were given regularly. 62% trainees stated that educators
did not allow them to use the science laboratory experiments. 70% agreed that the
institute provided the necessary administrative help to the students. 83% accepted
that awareness in different areas has been created in them through the training
course. 58% confirmed that the micro-teaching concepts provided in the institute
were satisfactory. 57% said that co-curricular activities provided in the institute
were satisfactory. Finally, most of the trainees felt that there was no chance for

Understanding the importance of Quality Education
for Sustainable Development

In today’s world, the importance of sustainable development
must be known by all the people. All the activities regarding sustainable development
depend upon the sensitization of every citizen of the country and the best way to
sensitize people about this concept is to educate them i.e. the reason behind the
presence of quality education among sustainable development goals.
This study highlights the importance of education in sensitizing people about the
concept of sustainable development. It also clarifies the difference between education
and exclusive education for sustainable development. This paper clearly identifies
the role of corporate and civil societies along with educational institution in
providing education as one of the sustainable development goals and exclusive education
about the concept of sustainable development.

A Support received in the Large Families in Poland
as a factor influencing the Students’ Results in School: Quantitative Survey Report

In this study, I am going to present a fragment of the
research concerning large families in Poland. I analyse the relation between shaping
the educational failures and successes of the students having their origin in the
large families and the support they get from their parents in the numerous families.
The analysis shall be made based on the comparison of the character of the relationships
inside the families in the study case of the students in the lower secondary school
who come from different backgrounds. This article shall constitute the description
of the results of the survey research conducted in two schools (lower secondary
schools) in the group of over 150 students. The family relationships, communication
character between parents – children are going to be analysed according to the place
of living (village, city) and number of children in a family (large and small families).
