Factors affecting the Implementation of ERP in Indore

The advancement of technology provides a new platform
to today’s business. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is the automation tool for
industries to integrate their operations which increase their productivity through
ease trace of operations. The implementation of ERP systems is a difficult and a
high cost proposition that places tremendous demands on corporate time and resources.
The main purpose of our study is to find out the difficulties in implementing ERP
systems in Indore region and identify success factors, software selection steps
and implementation procedures with respect to organizational, people and technical
factors. We collected the primary data through survey in such industries that are
using ERP Systems in Indore. The methodologies used were descriptive analysis and
factor analysis for reducing many affecting factors into a smaller set of factors.
