Abstract
The present study carried out Equilibrium, Kinetics and Thermodynamic studies for
the removal of Malachite Green dye by Green Synthesized Copper Oxide Nanoparticles
(Amorphophallus paeoniifolius Tuber). The synthesized copper oxide nanoparticles
were characterized by Ultraviolet Vis spectroscopy (UV-Vis), X-ray Diffraction (XRD),
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM),
Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX). Adsorption
parameters such as initial dye concentration, adsorbent dosage, pH and contact time
were used.
Pseudo first order and second order kinetics parameters were also calculated. It
is a very simple green chemical strategy, low-cost and effective alternative method.
This method is cost-effective in terms of energy, time and easiness. This procedure
resulted in the production of copper oxide Nanoparticles on a huge scale.
